When it comes to implementation of a new software, successful migration from the old into the new environment is a team effort. Complex migrations require essential skills in project management, techno-functional expertise, and business knowledge spread across multiple team members. The migration team can easily grow to a double-digit headcount. Reliable communication with a shared understanding of key terminology,migration-relevant definitions, project status, and current issues is crucial for success. Establishing and maintaining this for each project can be tedious, and misunderstandings can easily arise.

The offshore team’s definition of "done" was that all mappings for the test environment had been configured to the best of their knowledge. We, however, would have expected that test imports of converted data were executed successfully.

Inspired by this misunderstanding, we introduced Project Performance, providing the whole team with detailed insights into what has actually been done and what hasn't—down to the last activity and exact record counts at an object level. KPIs, like the number of mapping activities, failure rates per object etc., are updated live and are accessible in conemis 24/7.
